And\u2026 if my bangs were in my eyes\u2026 that was the day to get them trimmed. It is one that can speak to all your constituents loudly and clearly. I admit, it may seem too simple, too sweet, but here it is: (with attribution to Chabad.org).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Talmud relates that in the weeks between the Jewish holidays\u00a0<\/span><\/em><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">of<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Passover<\/span>\u00a0<\/em><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">and Shavuot,<\/span><\/em><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0a plague raged amongst the disciples of the great sage Rabbi Akiva,<\/span>\u00a0<\/em><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0\u201cbecause they did not act respectfully towards each other.\u201d These weeks are therefore observed as a period of mourning,<\/span><\/em><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0with various joyous activities proscribed by law and custom. On Lag b\u2019Omer the deaths ceased. Thus, Lag b\u2019Omer also carries the theme of the imperative to love and respect one&#8217;s fellow Jew (Ahavat Israel).<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">So\u2026 how can you use this theme to recruit and retain students?
